But we do take as many precautions as possible to prevent this. You can rest assured that if your dog does become ill in our care that the necessary medical treatment will be sought from a licensed veterinarian.
In addition to our daily cleaning and disinfecting regimen and strict vaccinations policy, our facility utilizes UV light disinfecting technology in our air conditioning systems which kills airborne and surface bacteria, mold and viruses to ensure your dog is breathing the freshest air possible. We do accept social and friendly un-neutered males and un-spayed females at VIP. Males over the age of 6 months must be neutered in order to participate in daycare or group pool play. Un-spayed Females are permitted in play regardless of age. We do not admit female dogs in heat or pregnant or nursing mothers.
Yes. Un-neutered males over 6 months of age of any high risk breed may not be accepted. Spayed and neutered high risk breeds may be admitted on a case by case basis, we are happy to discuss your dog’s history and socialization in making our determination.
If your dog is aggressive with people and/or other dogs, this would not be the best environment for him/her. Please inform us of any aggression or other adverse behavioral tendencies at time of reservation. If you fail to disclose overtly aggressive behavior, we reserve the right to refuse service at time of drop off.
Yes, please do so. Due to differing dietary needs of each dog, VIP does not provide complimentary food for our guests. We ask that you bring your own food for your dog’s stay. Please package dry kibble in individual servings (such as in Baggies or Ziploc bags) or bring your measuring cup from home so we do not over or under feed your dog. We cannot store large bags or bins of food, so measure your servings carefully.
We offer a variety of foods for purchase in our boutique for your dog’s stay. We will select the most suitable food based on your current food selection and add the charge for the appropriate can or bag to your bill.
Generally, dogs over 6 months of age do not need a midday meal. However, we are happy to feed your dog 1 meal during its daycare stay with us. If you chose to have us feed your dog lunch or dinner, please bring in his/her meal in a pre-measured Ziploc bag with your dog’s name on it.
We feed our hotel guests at 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 pm daily, lunch service is 12 noon.
Of course you can! You are welcome to bring toys, treats and your pet’s favorite bedding to make their stay more enjoyable. Each owner is required to sign a Medical Authorization form to be kept on file in case of a medical emergency. VIP errs on the side of caution. If we feel medical attention is needed then we will first attempt to contact you, then take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Just like daycare for children, there is a risk of dogs picking up communicable illnesses and or injuries from interacting with one another. VIP is not responsible for the expenses related to treating any illness or injury which may be caused by your dog’s interaction or housing in proximity to other dogs. Each owner is fully responsible for any medical charges related to the care for their dog.
